Advanced Retina Wellness Screening

Our practice is committed to protecting your eye health with the most advanced technology available, and we are excited to announce that our Advanced Wellness Screening contains two noninvasive all-encompassing screenings: Optomap and OCT Wellness screening. These screenings let our doctors see beneath the surface of your retina, where signs of disease first appear. Traditional eye exams do not provide this level of detail.

Optomap Retinal Exam

Optomap offers a state of the art digital scanning technology that allows us to view the inside of your eye without the use of dilation drops. The Optomap allows our doctors to evaluate 85% of your retina for problems such as Glaucoma, Retinal holes, Retinal Detachments, Hypertensive/Diabetic retinopathy and much more. The scanning system is completely safe for children and adults. It also allows you the opportunity to see inside your eyes just as the doctor sees it. Dilation may still be required in some cases.

OCT Wellness Exam

The OCT Wellness Screening simultaneously provides a digital photo and a 3D cross- section scan through the layers of your retina using light waves to scan your eye without touching it. The images provide detailed mapping of each distinctive layer of the retina, many of which are beneath the surface and not visible to your doctor during routine examination. This technology picks up early macular degeneration and early glaucoma.
